Singles Ministry
Mission: To Grow Individual Followers of Christ
Our active Singles Ministry is designed to assist in the spiritual growth of those who are single, single again, widowed, or attending church without spousal support, while providing a Christian social life together. This ministry provides a Christ-centered, grace-based fellowship where single adults of all ages can easily get involved in an atmosphere of acceptance, love and respect - a place where each person can feel they are a valuable and active member of the family of God.
As Christian singles, each of us is one individual in Christ. As a group, we are united as one body in Christ. Along with the church of Christ at Legacy, we are One-In-Christ.
Sharing our Walk
Uplift Support Share
Being single doesn't mean being alone. The Singles at Legacy are a family. We rejoice with each other, bear one another's burdens, hurt with one another, and love one another with the love of Jesus. The relationships we form provide the bond of family, and are vital to our walk with the Lord.
Fellowship
Our fellowship includes a wide variety of activities: movies; meals; game nights; visiting local attractions and exhibits; more meals; ice skating; bowling; cookouts; playing volleyball; attending sporting events; and even more meals. A monthly calendar provides many opportunities to get connected and involved.
Pray Sing Study
Increasing in love also means increasing in knowledge. We meet for Sunday morning Bible Class at 9:00 am in room C204. We also have an active Small Group, as part of Legacy's Small Groups Ministry, as well as a number of other opportunities for prayer, study, and spiritual growth.
“Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
-II Timothy 2:15
Serve
The Singles Family serves in such efforts as the annual Angel Tree for the Foster’s Children’s Home in Stephenville, Give Away Day, Leadership Training for Christ, Vacation Bible School, singing at area senior living centers, and many other service opportunities.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a stranger, and you took me in; naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you cared for me; I was in prison, and you came to visit me.”
-Matthew 25:35-36
Come Walk with Us
We gather here in Jesus’ name,
His love is burning in our heart
like living flame,
for through the loving Son, the
Father makes us one…
No one is a stranger here.
Everyone belongs…
We are now a family
of which the Lord is head.
WE WELCOME YOU TO COME SHARE THE LORD WITH US
