it's time for
camp poieo

June 7th-11th
Poieo is the Greek word for "to do" and that is what we are all about at Legacy Kids and we want that to be a part of camp too. We want our kids and teens to walk away knowing that it is not enough to just say you love God or your neighbor, but as Christians we are called to put that love into action.
Love God. Love Others. Do Stuff.

Who It's For

Camp Poieo is for all students that are currently in 2nd grade through 12th grade. This year we are combining forces with Student Ministry for one epic camp. We will be split up between Children's and Student ministry for most of the day, but will have plenty of opportunities to unite together for one purpose: to grow closer to God.

This Year's Theme

This year's theme is Heart of a Champion and we'll be spending the week learning about what it takes to be a Champion for Christ. Every day we'll have time for classes, worship, and devotionals. While meals and recreation time will be shared between children and teens, lessons will be tailored to fit each age level.

What's Different

After a year of a lot of "no" we are saying a lot of "yes" this year. Yes to more opportunities. Yes to more growth. Yes to more fun. While this year at camp has quite a few changes, there's one thing that won't be changing: they won't be able to wait to come back next year! A few differences you'll see this year will be: new name and location, all counselors will be 18+, there will be opportunities for leadership for our High Schoolers, and plenty of new recreation activities for your kids to choose from.

Check out our new camp location

This year we are not only changing our camp name, but also our location! We are so excited to be partnering with Lake Lavon Camp and Conference center this summer. Located in Princeton, Tx it's only a short hour long drive from Legacy.
